Meet Your Counsellor

“Though I realise and (try to) make a distinction between ‘me’ and ‘mine’; here is a brief summary of all that which is ‘mine’. Hopefully one day I find the clarity and wisdom to replace it with who I truly am”

It was during my research in the International Township of Auroville, South India in 2017, that the vision for Nandri was born. Volunteering at a Home for Children, the kids would often use the word. On enquiring, I was told that it means ‘thank you’ in their native language, Tamil. This for me was the start of something beautiful.

Nandri is an effort to create a confidential, safe space where everyone is invited and accepted, a space where people can share their sorrows and worries without fear of judgement or retribution, a space to connect with themselves and their higher selves, a space for gratitude, joy and contentment. I invite everyone to come and co-create this safe haven.

Testimonials

When I met her I was sitting at the edge ready to jump; so from making me recognise my self-criticising and toxic patterns to having my guardian angels deal with stuff I’m in no control of, to making me find the shiniest, strongest, dancing Goddess hidden under my layers, thank you

Though it was not exactly the way I was expecting but yes, such things support you in so many ways to reset. I was getting separated form my husband and have children too. At that time, everything was stuck. In such times, no one can help you out. Only an out sourcing person; a Counsellor can help you in so many things which cannot be explained in words. I found a big support to continue with.

I’ve really enjoyed the workshops by Nandri. It has been insightful and I liked the way it was delivered. Quite intense and relaxing at the same time and really important work, much needed in the current COVID situation. I really appreciate it. Mahima shared care and attention fairly to each participant and gives space for questions. She shows great flexibility to the group energy. Thank you so much Mahima! Gratitude

“ I was in the 3rd grade when my mother decided to put me through a few counselling sessions. I got excited and learnt that my counsellor was someone named Mahima Bhatnagar. I pictured her as some plump lady with spectacles. But Mahima Didi came across as a very young and warm person! Yet, I was nervous and conscious. Gradually Mahima Didi helped me forget my sadness and find happiness even in sad moments. Her sessions were super interesting and different every time. I remember how I used to look forward to every Thursday so eagerly. Mahima Didi has inspired me by thinking of others before herself, through her acts of kindness towards the poor and homeless children. She has also pushed me towards Yoga and meditation. I’m very grateful to Mahima Didi for her never-ending support and motivation. Thank you and I love you!
